Dr. Michael Concessi

Dr Michael Concessi D.C. has been a Chiropractor for over 33 years. He holds licensure in the state of Michigan and is a member of The Michigan Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Concessi attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate studies. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in December of 1985. He received his Masters in Biology from the University of Bridgeport in 1988. He practiced in Chesapeake, Virginia for 15 years before moving to back to Michigan and opened his practice here in 2008.

Dr. Concessi has completed an extensive four-year program of post-graduate study and has achieved national status as Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedists. To obtain board status, participating doctors must demonstrate specialty knowledge on disorders including all spinal related areas, laboratory diagnosis, orthopedic testing, proper assessment of bony fractures and dislocations, neurology, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, post injury rehabilitation, impairment rating, evidence-based practice and physical therapy. Less than 4% of chiropractors in the US hold this specialized designation as a Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedist.

Dr. Concessi developed a special interest in treating the most severe cases of neck pain, back pain, and sciatica. He has completed extensive post graduate studies in the specialized treatment of herniated, bulging, and degenerative discs. He spent many hours searching for the best non- surgical treatment protocols for these conditions.

Dr. Concessi is now a member of a nationwide group of practitioners called Disc Centers of America. The protocols and research of these centers includes the most state of the art treatment plans with the highest success ratios that Dr. Concessi could find available. He is now the official office for this specialized treatment protocol in Riverview, Michigan and the Downriver region.
